Were you there? It was fabulous. Our speaker was Jacquie Gering, one of our own members of the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild. It took several people to bring in all the quilts she brought! Jacquie was inspirational and soulful, emphasizing not only the color and design of a quilt but all the emotions that are tied in as well. Jacquie blogs at Tallgrass Prairie Studio This month her first book was published – Quilting Modern. Hop on over to Amazon to preview her book – definitely worth the purchase! Look at the CMQG Flickr link (in the right sidebar) for more pictures. And at April’s meeting we said goodby to the guild’s home at the Park District of Forest Park. Starting with the May 20 meeting, we’ll be meeting from 2 – 5 on the posted Sunday afternoons (see right sidebar) at St. Peter’s Church, 500 Hannah (Hannah and Adams) in Forest Park.
