Sew-In on September 11: Quilts for the Road Home Project

Chicago MQG members Dianne Bienick and Sarah Shulman will be hosting a Charity Sew-In to work on quilts for the Road Home Project. We have three quilts in various states of progress that we’re hoping to make into completed quilt tops during this sew in. 


When: Monday, September 11, from 10am to 2 or 3pm 

Where: Congregation Or Shalom21 W. Hawthorn Parkway, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 (Take I-94 north to Rte 60).

What: Bring sewing machine and personal sewing supplies only. Irons/ironing boards, cutting mats/rulers/rotary cutters provided. 

You may bring red/white print fabrics if you’d like, we also have plenty for you to use. All other fabric will be provided. 

There are many lunch options nearby, we can either go out or bring in, or you can bring your own. 

Please RSVP to Sara Shulman so we can plan for table space.

All meetings are 2-5 pm on the third Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

This month’s meeting is on Sunday, September 17 from 1-4pm at the DuPage County Historical Museum
