Wondering what’s happening at Chicago Modern Quilt Guild this month?

Our September meeting will feature a Panel Discussion  entitled “Entering Quilt Shows”.   
Panelists Denise Havlan, a  local quilt maker and award winning quilter, Robbi Eklow, CMQG member and award winning quilter, Erika Mulvenna, CMQG member, who’s quiltwas  accepted to QuiltCon 2013 will discuss issues in entering quilt shows.
Discussion and Q&A about topics related to entering your quilts in shows will be covered. The seemingly numerous and sometimes confusing aspects of entering quilts  will be covered, from creating the quilt to details about submission. 
Thinking about entering your quilt in QuiltCon 2015? This discussion will help with that decision.
Reminders

  • Registration for the November workshop with Sherry Lynn Wood.  $75 members $85 non-members Checks due by Sept 30. If the workshop is not full by Sept 30 spots will be opened up to local guilds. Workshop theme is “Get Your Curve On” and will take place Monday, November 17, 10 am – 5 pm At the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. Lunch provided.
  • November meeting is Monday, November 17, 6:30 – 9:00 pm at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. Featuring lecture by Sherry Lynn Wood on Improvisational Process and Patchwork.
