On the Blog: August Meeting – Picture Post & Re-cap

August 22, 2015

Thank you so much to everyone who attended August’s meeting and pot luck. It was a fantastic turnout!

nom nom nom!

At the meeting, we discussed:

  • The Drunkard’s Path Challenge – just a reminder that the quilts for IQF’s Chicago Special Exhibit will be due in January. More on the challenge can be found {here}.
  • The QuiltCon Triangle and Michael Miller challenge – quilts due in November.
  • The Retreat: more information to be emailed out to those attending soon. Expect an email from Amy in the coming days.
  • October’s Workshop: More information on how to register, topics, dates, etc. coming soon. Our speaker and workshop lecturer will be Amy Garro
  • Upcoming meeting topics (see {here} for a list of each upcoming month’s topics)
We also had a wonderful trunk show and lecture by our very own Amy Struckmeyer of form*work. Amy chatted a bit about what it was like to be published, the process, etc.

A special thank you to Amy for such a fabulous presentation!

We know that a lot of people are away in the month of August, or busy with summer festivities, so it was really wonderful to see so many members celebrating at our August social.

Stay tuned for more information on September’s meeting. Happy quilting!
