At our November meeting we had a Sarah Nishiura as our speaker. She is a truly warm and engaging artist who makes beautiful quilts all using men’s shirts!

| 225 bags and lots o’ food! |
It was wonderful to see her quilts in person and to hear about her process and inspiration.

The November meeting was also the culmination of our guild’s charity project to make bags and collect food for the Chicago Food Depository. Our members did their best and brought in a mountain of food and made 225 reusable grocery bags…great work group!
We even gave some prizes to the members who made the most bags: 1st place Connie with 27, 2nd place Sarah E with 26 bags, and 3rd place Natalie with 19 bags!
