We’re excited to announce that the results of the 2013 vote on whether or not to join the Modern Quilt Guild are in. The Chicago Modern Quilt Guild will be joining the national Modern Quilt Guild in January 2014.
Just over sixty percent of the guild members voted on this issue with 86% voting in favor of joining and 14% voting against joining at this time.
The next steps for the guild will be preparing to shift our fiscal year to January, updating our bylaws to reflect this decision, and shifting our online presence from bigtent to the MQG site. The guild will be collecting dues for 2014 at our January meeting. Look out for announcements in the near future about all of these updates.
