Modern Art Challenge

24 beautiful quilts Check ’em out on our Flickr page!

In June the Emily B and Emily L coordinated our first Modern Art Swap Those who wanted to participate brought in a picture of their favorite piece of “art” and a fabric or two that coordinates, and placed them in a bag. Then we drew one another’s bags for the challenge. The Emilies gave us two months to complete the challenge. At August’s CMQG meeting the challenges were presented. How much fun to see what quilters submitted and then how they interpreted their challenge pieces. Here’s a link to our Flickr account so you can see these fabulous 24 pieces of modern quilted art! Best act of generosity? By Mark. Sarah S gave him as inspiration a piece of art her daughter created. Mark responded with TWO pieces, one for Sarah and one for her daughter.
