May Meeting: Frugal Quilting

May 16, 2017
We all know how easy it is to spend more money than we’d like on fabric, patterns, notions, and quilting tools.  But most of us also have things we do to be more economical, from upcycling fabrics to using hardware store hacks or everyday items in lieu of more expensive tools.

What frugal quilting tricks do you use? Bring your own tips and ideas to this meeting, and find out what other quilters do to be more thrifty. At our May meeting, you’ll learn from fellow members and are invited to share your own frugal quilting ideas in small groups.

In addition to announcements and the regular programming, we’ll announce the winner of the survey raffle and have show and tell. And if that’s not enough to bring you to the meeting (and in the spirit of cutting costs)… there will be giveaways!

What to bring (all optional, of course):
  • Your own frugal quilting tips and tricks to share
  • Your recent quilty finishes to share with the group during show and tell
  • Hand-sewing work to keep you busy while we chat

All meetings are 2-5 pm on the third Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

This month’s meeting is on Sunday, May 21, 2017.

Meeting location:

Rush Oak Park Hospital
Centennial Room
520 S. Maple Ave Oak Park, Il 60304
