Jacquie’s lecture will be a special event on Sunday, June 25 at 3:30pm at the First Free Church of Chicago 5255 N Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL in the undercroft. It will not be a guild business meeting, and we will not have show and tell or guild business. The event will focus on Jacquie’s lecture, “Modern Quilting: You’ll Know It When You See It,” and a trunk show. It is free to members, and $10 for non-members.
Workshop description:
Want to quilt your quilts on your home machine, and maybe free motion quilting isn’t for you? Come discover the joy and creative possibilities of quilting with your walking foot. Straight-line quilting has a long history and is making a comeback in both modern and traditional quilts. Learn tips and tricks for successful quilting with your walking foot along with creative quilting designs that can be accomplished on your home machine.
The workshop will be capped at 20 students, and registration will be first come, first served starting Saturday, May 6 at 10am CDT for Chicago MQG members. The cost: $75.
