July Meeting Recap

July Meeting Recap
We hosted a summertime schoolhouse.  Members broke off into small groups and assisted each other with questions regarding techniques and other quilting related topics.  Additional topics were made available if needed.  When we reconvened as a large group highlights included our favorite local and online shops, the thinner the thread the less bulk in your seams, use a laser to assist when squaring up, use painters tape to mark your quilting lines, on a large spool of Aurifil the large circle end is removable.  Remove it to change the direction the thread comes off the spool to suit your machine or if you knick the circle and the thread gets caught there, just to name a few.
Welcome to our newest board member, Emily Lang is taking over as Special Events Chair!
The polar bear stuffy pattern that Adamandia’s mom used is Simplicity 1298 OS.

All meetings are 2-5 pm on the third Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

This month’s meeting is on August 18.
