Design Challenge!
We love our logo, but we also like new things. So, we are having a design challenge.
Members are invited to create a design that says “Chicago Modern Quilt Guild”. The design will be printed on to T-shirts by Patchwork Threads. Entries will be accepted through September 18th, our next guild meeting day.
At the beginning of October we will share pictures on the blog of submitted designs and invite a vote on the favorite design by the membership. The winning design announced at October 16, 2016 meeting.
We will take orders for this limited edition shirt during our membership renewal in November. Current cost is $15 per shirt, that cost might go down if we get a larger number of orders. We plan for the shirts to be delivered to members at January 15, 2017 meeting.
What are the parameters?
Remember that the design will be going on a T-shirt. Will it go on the front or the back of the shirt? Who knows at this point! If you want to make that decision for your design, mention it when you submit it.
If you are going to use color we ask for 4-5 colors maximum in your design, remembering that in screen printing white or black are counted as a “color”.
How to enter –
Bring your artwork to the September 18, 2016 meeting. Give us a head’s up that you are entering a design by sending an email with a picture to the guild’s email account chicagomodernQG@gmail.com. The winning design will be formatted to meet the printers requirements.
