SUMMARY:September 2026: How Do I Quilt This?
DESCRIPTION:Have you every finished a quilt top and then gotten stuck on the next step: how do I quilt it? Perhaps you have a few WIPs that are at the quilting stage\, but you’re just not sure if you want to hand-quilt them\, machine-quilt them\, or send them out to a longarm quilter. Or maybe you’re unsure of how to approach the design of the quilting itself. \n\n\n\nAt our September meeting\, we’ll have a panel of member experts and a moderator to provide ideas and perspective about quilting designs\, approaches\, and methods. Bring your completed quilt tops and let our panel offer suggestions for how to quilt them. Wondering about how to prepare a quilt for longarm service? Alternate ways to baste a quilt? How to approach hand quilting? This is the opportunity to ask all sorts of quilty questions. Panel members – and the audience – will be invited to share input and ideas! \n\n\n\nBring your unquilted\, but otherwise finished\, quilt top or just your curiosity!

SUMMARY:Workshop: The Perfect Fabric Pull with Melissa de Leon Mason
DESCRIPTION:Do you ever wonder why quilts don’t come out looking the way you envisioned when you chose the fabrics? Join Melissa de Leon Mason\, award winning modern quilt designer and instructor\, for a full-day color mastery workshop that re-trains your brain and eyes for confident fabric pulls — and then puts that mastery straight to work. \n\n\n\nThe morning is a hands-on color intensive covering interaction\, harmonies\, and relationships. The afternoon turns ideas into art: using the Glass Garden pattern\, you’ll use your new intuition to choose a confident palette and get hands-on instruction in the curve-piecing techniques that bring the blocks to life. You’ll leave with a completed palette\, a stack of started (or finished!) blocks\, and a color brain that finally trusts itself.
