David is a modern quilter, graphic designer and textile artist living in the Pacific Northwest. His lecture will transport us virtually to an indigo dyeing workshop in Japan. In this talk, David will share his love of Japanese culture through hand dyed blue and white textiles made with shibori and katasome techniques. David will talk about how Japanese influences and traditional fabrics inspire his modern quilt compositions and will present a trunk show of his work.
