Chicago MQG Veterans Quilt Project 2016

September 14, 2016
In honor of the September 11 Day of Service and Remembrance we will be making another quilt to donate to the Road Home Program in Chicago. We started this last year at the CMQG fall retreat and donated to an appreciative veteran. Several of you expressed an interest in making another so I’m starting a very low key project.
If you’d like to make a block on September 11 you can bring it to the September 18 meeting. If you’d like to participate but need more time, blocks will be collected at meetings through the end of 2016 (Oct, Nov, Dec).
Veterans Quilt Guidelines:
  • Make a 12.5″ unfinished block.
  • Star block of your choice, modern, improv, traditional
  • Navy blue background in a solid or print that reads solid.
  • Red and White stars, in prints or solids, either a single color, mixed red and white, or red/white print.
