Are You Ready For a Swap? We Are!

November 21, 2017

At our December 10 meeting (2-5pm at Rush Oak Park Hospital), we’ll be celebrating the holidays with a potluck and a small gift swap.

If you’re interested in the swap, there’s no sign-up needed. Simply bring a small, handmade sewn item, wrapped but with no label on the outside. Please spend no more than about two hours on it, and no extras are necessary — just make something that you enjoy.

We encourage you to add a small note on the inside saying who made it, so the recipient knows who to thank.

Looking for inspiration? Check out our Quick Gifts Inspiration and Pincushion Inspiration Pinterest boards.

At the meeting, every person participating will draw a number and will receive a random gift from someone else. Yay!

If you’re participating in the potluck: Please bring a sweet or savory dish, including serving utensils. We have a few members with nut allergies, so we discourage any items that contain nuts. Carole Wool is coordinating the potluck so if you have questions, please email the guild and we’ll send those along to Carole.

All meetings are 2-5 pm on the third Sunday of the month, unless otherwise noted.

This month’s meeting is on Sunday, December 10.

Meeting location:

Rush Oak Park Hospital
Centennial Room
